Mommy's the best

I think Ella is entering the phase of Mommy and Daddy are cooler then everyone else! I was sick last Friday and still not 100% all weekend so come Monday I was not in any condition to come to work. I worked from home that day so we didn't drop Ella off at daycare. Yesterday however she did go to daycare and was really cranky! She hadn't been there since last Thursday she had 4 straight days home with Mom and Dad!

I feel bad that she was cranky for Quincy however I have to admit it was totally awesome to have her instantly smile and be happy for me! She has been doing this more for me when I pick her up too. For instance this morning she was crying and I picked her up and she calmed down. I put her down to change her and she fussed a little but not much and then completely stopped fussing and was content while I made her bottle since I was holding her. Ahh there is nothing better then when your child snuggles into you and sighs with contentment! Just fills your heart up and runs right over with love!

We are getting ready for our BIG Easter trip! We leave tomorrow for IL. I am no where near completely packed but I have made my anal excel check sheet to make sure we don't forget anything! Everyone has a column, Ella, Mommy, Daddy, Dogs and even Cash! I will be sure to take lots of pictures and get them posted so everyone can share in Ella's first Easter!

PS - She will be 3 months old on Easter Sunday! WOW does time fly or what???!!??

Almost the weekend

I am looking forward to the weekend, truth be told I am SUPER excited for our Easter trip and am very much looking foward to gathering up all of Ella's stuff and packing a little bag for her. It's so fun to have a little one to bring along and share trips with! The dogs are going to be at the kennel from Thursday through Sunday so they are not looking forward to Easter but we will spoil them when we return.

I think we will get over to Jim Falls tomorrow so Ella can see Grandma and Grandpa before Easter. Then hoping to catch up with some friends at Texas Roadhouse on Sat...after all that bumming we will be ready to just stay home on Sunday and cuddle.

Somewhere in the mix we need to make another Sam's Club run for formula, we go through that pretty fast now that we are eating 4 oz + each feeding! Last night Ella drank 5 oz both bottles for me! WOW! That is going to help her grow. She also slept 3 nights this week 8 hours straight! That's my girl.

Busy Busy...

Well my week if flying by - before I know it Easter will be here! Yesterday Rob and I had our health screenings for our new life insurance policies. That was really no big deal. I hate giving blood though!

Rob had to work overtime so Ella and I ran him supper at 5:30. That was really nice. Rob got to show off Ella to his friends at work and we were able to enjoy his company for a quick supper. I think Ella and I should do that at least once a month. Rob and I don't get to see each other during the week so even a 20 min lunch would be great. With the nice weather we were able to sit outside on the picnic table. :) Great times...

It's a Grandma day today. Ella and Grandma hanging out. I bet they go for a walk.

Great Weekend

Good Morning everyone! The Leiby's had a great weekend. Zack and Brady's birthday party was fun. It was great dressing Ella up in her dress and tights. Everyone was fighting over holding her and how long! I didn't get her at all unless she needed to be changed! Mom still gets that duty. It was nice to see everyone wanting to spend time with her though and I can tell you it was AMAZING to finally have a child to bring to a family function. It was rough for years to show up and watch other families and friends bring their kids who were getting bigger and the centers of attention. It was so nice to have a little one to share with everyone.

She is loving her time at home with Dad during the day. You just say Daddy and she gets a big smile and giggles! Just warms your heart

We bought her The princess and the Frog this weekend - she watched it for almost a half an hour! Just amazed at the music and contrasting movements and shapes. It is a really good movie that has a nice message for kids. I am looking forward to watching it like 100 times! :)

Ella and I also had a twlight party just me, her and Abby on Sunday! We watched the first movie Twilight and then New Moon. It was fun! I love those movies - can't wait for the last two to come out!

Finally Friday

Well it's finally friday. I think I am getting the groove of this working Mom thing enough to survive now! Last week was hard because I wasn't in my comfort zone at work. I didn't know what was going on I wasn't up to speed and I don't like that feeling! This week I am back in control caught up and knowing what I should be working on. It also helps that Ella seems to have adjusted really well to her new routine. :)

I am looking forward to dressing Ella up for Zack and Brady's birthday party tomorrow. I will be sure to take some pictures and post out here over the weekend or Monday morning. Other then the party we don't have anything planned - I am not looking forward to the colder weather coming - it sure was cold out there this morning! Maybe we will need a family cuddle day on Sunday on the couch! The entire family all snuggled in watching movies. Ah sounds nice...and I think I will take a few naps this weekend too I am sure tired by the end of the week.

Deer Classic

I don't have my pictures uploaded yet from Friday but Ella sure enjoyed her first Deer Classic. She met Lee and Tiffany Lakosky and got a t-shirt and sweatshirt signed by them. :) She also meet Pat Reeves and Nicole Jones. Nicole loved her! She asked to hold her and then asked if she could take her picture and post it on her website. I will post a link when she has Ella on there. How cool is that.

Ella really enjoyed seeing all the bright lights and people and seemed to really be staring at the bucks and antlers. We had a family picture taken with a 7 week old bear cub! Rob of course wanted to keep it! Ella was like whatever..... I promise to post pictures sometime this week.

On a side note - Ella has slept through the night for 2 nights in a row! :) That's my girl.

Cold...

I think Ella and I have colds! Bummer...we both have runny noses.... wishing I could just stay home and cuddle with her all day. This working 5 days straight is hard stuff. :) Can you tell it's my first full week back to work??

Mom is coming down to watch Ella today they should have fun. Rob took the day off to go look for antlers. Crazy if you ask me...he will be the next one sick walking around outside in this weather. But I can't ground him he is older them me!

We are going to take Ella to the MN Deer Classic tomorrow that should be fun. :) Rob is really looking forward to showing off his little girl in her camo dress. - I will snap some pictures and post them this weekend or early next week.

Repeat Luck...No!

Well no such repeat luck on sleeping through the night! Ella was extremely tired all day yesterday slept most of the morning for Dad and then slept a bunch at daycare and also slept almost all evening for me. It was just sleeping and eating for little miss Ella bug. I think she is in a growth spurt!

She slept okay last night it wasn't that she wanted to play or anything she just was hungry every few hours. Rob feed her at 1 and then I was up again at 3:30. She has an awful runny nose too. No fever but lots of snot! She might have a little bit of a cold going on.

My other big news is.....I can't find my umbrella and it's going to rain the rest of the week! UGH!!

Sleep

Ella slept all night last night!! First time. We actually were worried she was going to sleep at all! She slept in on Sunday morning then we went shopping in the afternoon and she slept the entire time we were out and about...we didn't get home and wake her up until 6:30!! We did keep her up until 10 last night though - that might have helped - Either way it was a nice surprise to wake up this morning at 4:30 feed her and then get ready for work.

Mice
Okay my other story is our mice. I had a deck box on our deck that I used to keep all my bird seed in. I say used to because it's gone now! Last week I found a mouse in my bird food and Rob went to take care of it this weekend and found a whole family of them!! I swear I could have won $10K if I would have video taped it! Picture this. Rob, Abby and Moose out on the deck - mice literally running everywhere...like 10 of them!! And all three of them trying their best to catch them!! Oh boy was it something to watch. They got them all ( I think....) Abby still wants to just hang out outside looking for mice now. Moose caught the most! EEEEEWWW is all I have to say! Me and Ella stayed in the house and watched through the door. Needless to say we threw away all that bird seed that was spilled all over and my entire deck box!

Looking forward to the weekend

My first day back to work went really good, it sure flew by fast! Before I knew it the clock said 4 and I was racing home to see Ella! She enjoyed her first day with Dad and Quincy (her daycare provider) I felt bad for Quincy. I guess right before I got there she had put Ella in an activity center and she freaked out at the toys so when I got there she was crying. I imagine it's like taking your car to the mechanic. It makes noise all the way there and then stops and with kids they are good all day long and then cry right when Mom gets there! I have no doubt she had fun there before that though! She is going to love hanging out with all the other kids for a couple of hours each day.

I did miss seeing my pretty little smile from her though. Maybe next week she will greet me with a smile when I pick her up!

We have a busy weekend this weekend. I am hopefully going to see my brother and sister in law and nephews on Sat during the day and then a neighborhood get together on Sat night. Whew and then maybe just complete Ella and Mommy time on Sunday like all day long!!

Rob will be out in the woods looking for antlers hopefully he finds some more fast his party is coming up soon! They had a bad day at work yesterday for Rob 18 people lost their jobs and 12 had to take a pay cut or be moved to a different position. We could see it coming though there just wasn't enough work. Luckily Rob was fine and will see no changes.

Back to work

Well it's back to work for me today! I am excited and nervous. I know that Daddy and Ella will be just fine and that my day will go by fast since I have so much catching up to do - not only work but also just life updates with co-workers.

Ella is 2 months old today! She is doing great - she woke up with smiles and giggles for Mom today! That certainly helped me start my day the right way! She had her doctor's visit on Tuesday of this week. She grew almost 2 inches she is now 20 3/4" long and she is up to 10lbs and 12 oz!! That's my girl!! Her height is still really low % but her weight is now in the 50% category. So that's good. I like to think she is just unique!!

I promise to do better with the blog now that I am back to the real world and have access to a computer on a more regular basis. I am going to make this a routine to feed Ella and put her back down to sleep and then quickly blog before work!
